The projects consists of an artistic and temporary installation that opened the doors to thousands of people during the first week of July 2019. It wants to promote and show in an active and participative way the heritage and touristic value of the Balearic Islands ancient courtyards.

The installation is located in the Can Balaguer courtyard, an aristocratic house dating back to the 14th century and refurbished by Flores & Prats. Seduced by the beauty of the stone arches, the proposal reflects their form with a reverse geometry. The large catenaries are built using light steel meshes. Covered with recycled acetate, it projects a red warm light in the interior of the courtyard.

The proposal relates the individual’s experience with the collective public space, inviting the citizens to rediscover hidden spaces through exploring and proposing new design fields. This type of practices tries to face spatial, social and political problems from a creative, free and transversal perspective.
